Namaste Friends, This teacher training and in-depth study course with Amberlyn Mathis is designed to train you in the fundamentals of teaching Ha-tha Yoga (with an emphasis on vinyasa style), and to deepen your practice. HOT YOGA’s teacher training school meets the requirements set out by Yoga Alliance and is a Registered 200 Hour Teacher Training School.

This means that the graduates of our school are qualified to register as a 200 hour yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. We believe our program to be the most comprehensive program in the area covering all aspects of the art of teaching; placing particular emphasis on practice teaching and receiving valuable feedback from your peers. Our program encourages you to step into your place as a teacher with strong foundational knowledge necessary to teach a safe, fun and effective class. Your life will be forever changed for the better as you find your inner voice and strength, and have fun while doing it!

JULY One Month Immersion 200 Hour Teacher Training Dates for 2010

The July Immersion Program meets daily Monday-Friday from July 5 -July 30 and includes one weekend intensive July 10, 11.

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9:30am - 5:30pm
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am - 5:30pm

One full weekend immersion July 11 and 12

  • Saturday July 11 10am - 5:30pm
  • Sunday July 12 9:30am - 5:30pm
  • POTLUCK GRADUATION DINNER August 1st - 6pm (VILLA VEAZEY)

The 200 hour program consists of 180 hours in contact with HOT YOGA Senior Teachers and 40+ hours of independent study and practice and includes unlimited access to regularly scheduled yoga classes and workshops while in training. The Training is laid out in a clear and concise format providing aspiring teachers with the tools they will need to teach a safe and effective class.Teacher training participants will learn Theory and Practice of Asana, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama and Meditation Techniques, Anatomy and Physiology (both physical and energetic) and the Art of Teaching.

Make up sessions are available at an added cost which will be assessed depending on the teacher and the amount of time needed.

  • During the training (January - June 2010 for winter/spring training and July 2010 for summer immersion) participants will receive the student monthly unlimited rate to practice yoga of $65/month as well as 10% off any workshops and retail at the studio.

Requirements for Training:
Students wishing to enroll need to have a passionate interest in yoga and healing and a basic understanding of the practice of yoga.  We ask that you have a consistent daily asana practice with a minimum of one year study of Ha-Tha yoga under the guidance of a teacher or teachers.  Part of the study course will include required reading.
