Sabrina Huffman

After more than a decade of teaching wellness classes as an antidote to the stresses of her World Bank day job, Sabrina walked into a yoga class —  and little did she know that that would fundamentally change her life.  She retired from the World Bank in 2006 and has since been teaching yoga full-time.  Her classes are grounded in a vinyasa style with mindful attention to sound alignment principles.  The practice is breath-centered, light-hearted, and curious.  Sabrina enjoys working with yogis of all levels of experience, adults and children, and has a special interest in bringing yoga to individuals with special needs.  Sabrina is a graduate of the Inner Peace Yoga Therapy Program.  She is a Yoga Alliance-registered teacher at the 500 hour level (RYT500), and Experience Registered Teacher at the 200 hour level (ERYT200).  To date, she has over 2200 hours of teaching experience.  Teachers and thinkers who inspire her include Max Strom, Jamie Elmer, Nischala Joy Devi, Amy Weintraub, Judith Lasater, Sharon Salzberg, Jon Kabat-Zinn, and Pema Chodron.  Sabrina holds a Master of Health Science degree from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and a Master of Arts from The American University.  She enjoys books, music, yummy meals, being with her kids, and sharing time with friends.
